Sports Quickie: Front Runners track meet at the armory this Friday // Crux offers rock climbing for beginners

Gotham Volleyball
The league is currently in the middle of their spring season which runs through May. Later this month the league will host their annual Big Apple Tournement from March 23-24. The league will also be participating in May's AIDS Walk and sign-ups for the league's summer season will begin around the same time.

Metro Tennis
The gay tennis club is currently accepting new members, though you don’t have to be a member to attend most of their events. Their next major event will be the Marsha Day Club Championship at the Billie Jean King National tennis center over Memorial Day.

Team New York Aquatics
After sweeping the swimming, water polo and diving competitions at the 2012 IGLA meet in Iceland, the team is now preparing for the IGLA 2013 in Seattle this August. Check out their website for more information about joining and about their new swimming workout Low Pressure Zone held every Saturday from 12:30-1:30pm.

Front Runners
This Friday, the gay running club will hold a track meet featuring events including the 60-meter dash and one-mile run. You can currently register for the group’s popular five-mile Pride Run in June while fun runs are held Saturday mornings at 10am and Wednesday nights at 7pm in Central Park.

NYC Gay Basketball
The team’s season kicks off on March 10 at Chelsea Piers. They also have four teams registered for the national tournament in Chicago on April 20 and plan to participate in June's Pride March.

Crux Climbing
Crux hosts two to three events every week, including beginner-friendly nights on the first Friday of every month at Brooklyn Boulders. New climbers can attend two Crux events before becoming members.
